Where to go what to do

Klompen Carver

We are thrilled to welcome back Luke Traver of Luke’s Lost Arts and his talented crew! Step back in time and witness the art of traditional klompen shoe-making as Luke demonstrates traditional carving techniques right before your eyes. Don’t miss this fascinating live demonstration and get yourself an authentic pair of Klompen Shoes!

Klompen Canal Races

This beloved Oak Harbor tradition invites the community to purchase small wooden shoes and race them down a water-filled canal. Once released, the shoes "speed" toward the finish line  and the fastest one claims the win!

You get to keep your klompen once the race is over!

Arts, Crafts, and Food Vendors

Holland Happening truly has something for everyone! Browse a wide variety of unique goods, delicious food, handmade crafts, antiques, and so much more. With activities and attractions for all ages, it’s a celebration the whole family can enjoy!

Beer Garden!

Enjoy a refreshing selection of local and regional brews in a relaxed outdoor setting filled with great company and festive energy. Whether you're meeting friends, celebrating,  taking a break from the festivities, or soaking up the sunshine, the Beer Garden is the perfect spot to sit back, sip, and savor the celebration.

  • Waterproof outerwear or rain jacket
  • Comfortable shoes for walking on wet or uneven surfaces
