 Holland
Happening
A Community Tradition Continues! Oak Harbor proudly presents Holland Happening,
an annual three-day celebration that honors the unique Dutch Heritage of Oak Harbor.
Initially settled by Europeans in the 1860s, Oak Harbor, located on beautiful
Whidbey Island received a large influx of Dutch settlers around the turn of the
century and still retains much of its Dutch character. Stroll the waterfront past
the towns signature windmill, watch a wooden shoe carver and delft painter at work,
eat an authentic Dutch dinner and enjoy the wide variety of displays, activities,
food, and fun.
Please join the Oak Harbor Chamber of Commerce as we celebrate 400 years of Rembrandt
and the 38th annual Holland Happening April 25-27, 2008 in downtown Oak Harbor.
We'll see you there!
