Boating

Boating is one of Whidbey Island’s favorite pastimes for islanders and visitors alike. Moor up at either the Oak Harbor Marina or Cornet Bay Marina if you want to dock your boat and Come Ashore. Fair winds and calm seas keep boaters warm most of the year. The Oak Harbor Yacht club hosts regattas and races and remains home to the summer’s marquise sailing event, Whidbey Island Race Week.

For those who prefer to put the boat operation into someone else’s hands, boat tours of the Deception Pass area are available as well as sightseeing and whale watching tours from neighboring Anacortes.
